3 REASONS DECEMBER TOPS THE BILL AS THE MONTH AFTER MY HEART...

Though I was not born in the month of December but just like David was “a man after God’s heart”, so is December a month after my heart.  If it were possible for one to change one’s birthday, I would have gladly chosen the month of December! A colleague of mine was asking me this morning “Are you regretting that you were born in March and not in the month of December? No Sir!  I told her a lot of other great people (and I mentioned some of them),  like me were born in the month of March! Yes, everything written about me is great! So, no regret! So why is December so special to me to be qualified as a month after my own heart? Rice and soup very plenty? No sir! Though I like rice and soup very much. So why? December is a month after my heart for 3 solid reasons enumerated below:

The first reason is that above 70% of the most influential people in my life were born in the month of December; the list includes but not limited to my mummy in the Lord, my biological father, my wife, my first son, 2 of my younger siblings, some of my close friends/associates, etc. And I am extremely grateful it has pleased the Lord to keep them all to celebrate again this December and am confident that the Lord will keep us all till eternity. Amen.

Having done a major evaluation of the special blessings and major life victories that I have received of the Lord, I discovered again that above 70% of them were in the month of December – wedding, birth of first son, my current job, major promotions, to mention but a few. This is my second reason and it buttresses the scripture in Ecc. 7:8 which says “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof." And I am particularly excited as I await more special blessings that the Lord has packaged for this time.  He has done for me before, He will do it again and again and for you too reading this in Jesus name. You will hear my testimonies just like I will hear yours in Jesus name. Amen.

My third, final and MOST IMPORTANT reason is because December is a symbol of the end of the physical life right here on earth but which marks the beginning of ETERNITY with God forever. I don’t know about you but am excited at the prospect and possibility of being with God forever in eternity. I am excited about the possibility of seeing the mansion the Lord has gone to build for me and staying there forever. I am excitedly looking forward to a ‘bigger rice and soup’, i.e., the marriage supper of the lamb. More much importantly, I am excited at the prospect of praising the Lamb of God forever! Much more importantly, I am excited about the prospect of seeing you.  Yes, you out there in eternity. I shall surely pay you a visit in your mansion! Amen.

What about you out there?  Which month is the one after your own heart?  I will like to hear from you.

Shalom!

THE SAINTS OF OLD SERIES - PROPHET DR. T.O. OBADARE (BIRTH, CALL & MINISTRY)

Introduction Ogo ni fun Olorun l’oke orun. Mo tun wi leekan si pe ogo ni fun Olorun l’oke orun. E jeki a gbadura (Glory be to God in heaven. And I say once again, glory be to God in heaven. Shall we pray?)[1] This slogan echoed over the Nigerian airwaves, especially in south-western Nigeria, for close to four decades. Each time it echoed, those who were familiar with it easily identified the voice of Apostle (Dr.) Timothy Oluwole Obadare, one of the indigenous prophets of the land, who was the General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) (Worldwide); the Executive Director of World Soul-Winning Evangelistic Ministry (WOSEM) and the President of the Interdenominational Ministers’ Association of Nigeria (IMA). Formerly of The Apostolic Church (TAC), he worked with the church for a period of four years, 1953 to 1957, before he was brought into the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) by Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola in 1957. Having joined the CAC, he ...

THE SAINTS OF OLD (NIGERIAN SERIES): PROPHET DR T. O. OBADARE - HOW HE WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD...

Apostle Timothy Oluwole Obadare went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2013 at the ripe age of 83. According to reports, he had been confined indoors for some years, but was said to have struggled to attend the March edition of the Koseunti Prayer meeting on March 1, 2013. He was brought to the church premises but could not come down from the car. When the news of his death came in, it dawned on the members that perhaps their leader had wanted to attend the meeting for the last time.[47] Apostle Timothy Obadare is survived by his wife, Elizabeth E. A. Obadare, six children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.      Governor Aregbesola being welcome to the burial ceremony by Mama Obadare & 2 sons Personal Qualities Many extolled the virtues of this great Apostle of Christ. Pastor Joseph Adegoroye, a former President of the CAC worldwide, while commenting on the establishment of the Koseunti monthy prayer meeting in 1985, said “Pr...

THE SAINTS OF OLD – PA S.G. ELTON (Part 1)

I have been trying (for over 3 months now) to do a research on the late Pa S.G. Elton, who is widely considered to be the father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria before featuring him on this platform. However, someone circulated this via What Sapp and I am using it as a platform to start a 3 part series on him. Enjoy the write up below. Your feedback and comments will be highly appreciated. Also feel free to send to  eternity.reminders@gmail.com  any useful article(s) in this regard.  Shalom! LOOKING BACKWARD: In order for us to understand the origin of the prosperity “gospel” and the present reign of mammon in the Church today, we cannot but talk about the man who almost single-handedly established the Pentecostal movement that led to the Pentecostal Churches of Nigeria today. Before then all we had were mostly the “orthodox” Churches with strong controls and hierarchy of the ministers. We did not have the “one-man” Churches of today. ALSO READ JO...
