Eternity Reminders use this medium to congratulate our dear nation, Nigeria on the occasion of our 55 th independence. We are not yet there as a nation, but we have every reason to thank God and to trust Him that He will complete every good work that He has started in every area of our national life.  We must however remember that we all have a role to play.  “No one else can build Nigeria for us.  Nigeria will be built by Nigerians ”. We shall succeed!  GOD BLESS NIGERIA !!!

Will Gambling Prevent Believers from Eternity?

Brother O. has been staking a minimum of N1,000 weekly on soccer games on the popular online betting company …bet.com. Early this week, according to him, the Lord sampled him out for favour and he won N2m!  He said it is the doing of the Lord and it is marvelous in his eyes. As a born again believer, he went ahead to pay his tithe as well redeemed his pledge for his church building project. The question is Will Gambling Prevent a Believer from Eternity? Will Gambling Prevent Believers from Eternity? The Bible does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the   lottery . The Bible does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money (1 Timothy   6:10 ; Hebrews 13:5). Scripture also encourages us to stay away from attempts to “get rich quick” (Proverbs   13:11 ; 23:5; Ecclesiastes   5:10 ). Gambling most definitely is focused on the love of money and undeniably tempts people with the promise of quick and easy riches. What is wrong with gambling? Gambling is a d

How Do We Prepare Our Children for Eternity?

It is a statement of fact that series of preparation has been done by a vast majority of parents/guardian in preparation for another academic session. Much more important, however is the preparation of our children for eternity. The following article culled from WOMEN CHRISTIAN MAGAZINE, August 2015 is highly recommended in this regard. Blessed are the doers of the word…  Life often has been described as a journey.  And it’s indeed an endless journey that begins here on earth and continues for ever. That means everyone born into this world has an immoral soul – not capable of dying; living forever.  Although death is the terminal end of all humans on earth, the human life actually doesn’t terminate then; it continues hereafter forever .  In other words, we will all outlive this planet.  We will spend eternity in one of two places though – heaven or hell.  The question is, where will you spend your eternity? Have you ever pondered on that? You need to accept Jesus as

Echo into Eternity

What would you be willing to sacrifice for a season, so you could enjoy something far greater, forever? Jesus talks about a man who finds a treasure buried in a field. This man goes out and sells everything he has in order to raise funds to buy that field. He believes he has nothing that isn’t expendable toward gaining the precious treasure he has glimpsed. (See Matthew 13:44.) When God is glorified, that’s when the Kingdom Investor is energized. That’s how it is for the Kingdom Investor. He has caught a glimpse of a treasure nothing on earth can match—an eternal treasure. All that he has must be invested toward that treasure. Jesus also told stories about masters who gave their servants sums to invest. The workers were held accountable not for using their resources and not for preserving them, but for multiplying them. (See Matthew 25 and Luke 19.) The master, of course, is Christ. And why does he take time to give us sums to invest? His work is the work

WASH YOUR ROBE & BE READY…

“…And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, what are these which are arrayed in white robes? … and he said to me, these are they which came out of the great tribulation and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the lamb” Rev.7:13-14 Events in these last days have no doubt proved beyond reasonable doubt that the 2 nd  coming of the Lord otherwise known as ‘rapture’ is closer than many believers think. The end is indeed near! Several scriptures already warned that if care is not taken, most believers, in spite of the fact that they are saved might find themselves shut out of eternity with God due the fact they could not meet with standards required to be with God in eternity, principal of which is ABILITY TO KEEP ONE’S ROBE UNSPOTTED, WITHOUT BLEMISH AND WITHOUT WRINKLE (Eph. 5:27). It is sad to know that many believers’ robes are dirty, with wrinkle and spot all over it. A man of God confirmed this recently when he said God told him “Some among my peo

HAPPY NEW MONTH!!!
