ETERNAL REWARDS AWAITING YOU! - PART 2

1 - CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

THIS CROWN IS FOR THOSE BELIEVER'S WHO WERE READY & WAITING FOR THE RETURN OF JESUS - ALL THOSE WHO HAVE LOVED HIS APPEARING.

• 2 Tim 4:8 "Finally, there is laid up for me the CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing."

2 - INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN

THIS IS THE VICTOR'S CROWN - FOR THOSE WHO DISCIPLINED THEIR BODIES, AND BROUGHT THEIR BODIES UNTO SUBJECTION— AND HAD SELF-CONTROL.

• 1 Cor 9:25-27 "Everyone who Competes for the Prize is temperate (DISCIPLINED) in ALL THINGS. Now they do it to obtain a Perishable CROWN, but we for an IMPERISHABLE (INCORRUPTIBLE) CROWN. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I DISCIPLINE MY BODY AND BRING IT UNTO SUBJECTION, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified."

3 - CROWN OF LIFE

THIS IS THE MARTYR'S CROWN - FOR THOSE WHO WERE FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH— THOSE WHO PATIENTLY ENDURED TESTINGS, TEMPTATIONS, AND TRIALS.

• James 1:12 "God blesses those who Patiently endure Testing and Temptation. Afterward they will receive the CROWN OF LIFE that God has promised to those who love Him."
• Rev 2:10 "Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to Test you. You will Suffer for ten days. But if you remain Faithful even when facing death, I will give you the CROWN OF LIFE."
• 2 Tim 2:15 "Work Hard so you can Present yourself to God & RECEIVE His Approval. Be a Good Worker, one who does Not need to be Ashamed & who Correctly explains the Word of Truth."

4 - CROWN OF GLORY

THE ELDER'S CROWN - THIS CROWN IS FOR THOSE LEADERS, PASTORS, ELDERS, TEACHERS WHO WERE GODLY EXAMPLES TO THE FLOCK OF BELIEVERS THAT WERE ENTRUSTED AND ASSIGNED TO THEIR CARE.

• 1 Pet 5:2-4 "Care for the FLOCK God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. DON'T LORD IT OVER THE PEOPLE ASSIGNED TO YOUR CARE, but LEAD them by your OWN GOOD EXAMPLE. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the CROWN OF GLORY that does not fade away."
• Matt 5:19 Jesus says, "If you ignore the least Commandment and Teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who OBEYS GOD'S LAWS & TEACHES them will be called GREAT IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN."

5 - CROWN OF REJOICING

THIS IS THE SOUL WINNER'S CROWN - FOR BELIEVER'S WHO WERE OBEYING JESUS' GREAT COMMISSION (MATT 28:19-20)

• 1 Thess 2:19 "For what is our hope, or joy, or CROWN OF REJOICING? Is it not even YOU in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His Coming?"
• Dan 12:3 "Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who LEAD MANY TO RIGHTEOUSNESS will shine like the stars forever."

Which of the following can you boast of by His grace? One of the above? All of the above? None of the above?  Without condemning anyone because the gospel is not of such, I doubt if anybody LIVING can boast of ALL in this present dispensation. This no doubt call for a soul searching exercise and I will be glad if we can help one another by being very honest with ourselves so that God can help us. GET ETERNAL LIFE…

Life often has been described as a journey.  And it’s indeed an endless journey that begins here on earth and continues for ever. That means everyone born into this world has an immoral soul – not capable of dying; but living forever.  Although death is the terminal end of all humans on earth, the human life actually doesn’t terminate then; it continues hereafter forever.  In other words, we will all outlive this planet.  We will spend eternity in one of two places though – heaven or hell.  The question is, where will you spend your eternity? Have you ever pondered on that? You need to accept Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, if you want to have a blissful eternity in heaven.

Please pray this prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to you today, I am a sinner. I believe you died for me that I might have ETERNAL LIFE. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with your blood.  I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a blessed child of God.  Thank you for saving me. If you have prayed this prayer sincerely, you are born again and you have ETERNAL LIFE.   CONGRATULATIONS! J
