The Man who Missed ETERNITY by Whiskers...

A Greek man said he missed the Ethiopian Airlines flight that crashed just after taking off from Addis Ababa by mere minutes, in a Facebook post that has now been shared thousands of times. In a post called ‘My Lucky Day,’ Antonis Mavropoulos shared an image of what appears to be his boarding pass and says he arrived at his gate just after boarding had finished on Sunday morning. *Mauropoulous…they didn’t allow me in “When I arrived, boarding was closed and I watched the last passengers in (the) tunnel go in. I screamed to put me in but they didn’t allow it,” he wrote.

The flight crashed six minutes after takeoff, killing all 157 people on board. Mavropoulos says he was transferred to the next flight to Nairobi but was later told he was unable to board because security wanted to talk with him after discovering the plane had lost contact. A security staff member “told me gently not to protest and ‘say thank you to God’, because I am the only passenger who did not enter the flight,” Mavropoulos wrote.

The ill-fated flight was packed with humanitarian workers and international experts, many of whom were bound for a major United Nations environmental summit in the Kenyan capital. Mavropoulos wrote that he texted friends in Nairobi trying to get news of the plane, before eventually receiving a message from a friend in Greece confirming the news. “I collapsed because then I realized how lucky I was,” he wrote. Ethiopian Airlines said passengers from at least 35 countries were on the flight. The crash has led to questions about Boeing’s new 737 MAX 8 jet, which was also involved in the Lion Air crash that killed 189 people last October. “At this point, based on the information available, we do not have any basis to issue new guidance to operators,” Charlie Miller, Boeing’s vice president of communications, said in a statement. Although none of Nigeria’s airlines flies this type of plane, Air Peace said it was proceeding with its order to procure 10 of the brand.

ADDENDUM
While it remains the perogative of God Almighty when we die, it is critical to remember that we do have a CHOICE on where our ETERNAL DESTINATION shall be and the good news is that you can do RIGHT NOW if you're not yet sure (click here to do so now:https://goo.gl/iogvk8). I did so 18 years ago and I can testify that is the biggest experience anyone can have and that remains my biggest motivation for this blog. You will be glad you did and I look forward to hearing your testimony.

THE SAINTS OF OLD SERIES - PROPHET DR. T.O. OBADARE (BIRTH, CALL & MINISTRY)

Introduction Ogo ni fun Olorun l’oke orun. Mo tun wi leekan si pe ogo ni fun Olorun l’oke orun. E jeki a gbadura (Glory be to God in heaven. And I say once again, glory be to God in heaven. Shall we pray?)[1] This slogan echoed over the Nigerian airwaves, especially in south-western Nigeria, for close to four decades. Each time it echoed, those who were familiar with it easily identified the voice of Apostle (Dr.) Timothy Oluwole Obadare, one of the indigenous prophets of the land, who was the General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) (Worldwide); the Executive Director of World Soul-Winning Evangelistic Ministry (WOSEM) and the President of the Interdenominational Ministers’ Association of Nigeria (IMA). Formerly of The Apostolic Church (TAC), he worked with the church for a period of four years, 1953 to 1957, before he was brought into the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) by Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola in 1957. Having joined the CAC, he ...

THE SAINTS OF OLD (NIGERIAN SERIES): PROPHET DR T. O. OBADARE - HOW HE WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD...

Apostle Timothy Oluwole Obadare went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2013 at the ripe age of 83. According to reports, he had been confined indoors for some years, but was said to have struggled to attend the March edition of the Koseunti Prayer meeting on March 1, 2013. He was brought to the church premises but could not come down from the car. When the news of his death came in, it dawned on the members that perhaps their leader had wanted to attend the meeting for the last time.[47] Apostle Timothy Obadare is survived by his wife, Elizabeth E. A. Obadare, six children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.      Governor Aregbesola being welcome to the burial ceremony by Mama Obadare & 2 sons Personal Qualities Many extolled the virtues of this great Apostle of Christ. Pastor Joseph Adegoroye, a former President of the CAC worldwide, while commenting on the establishment of the Koseunti monthy prayer meeting in 1985, said “Pr...

THE SAINTS OF OLD – PA S.G. ELTON (Part 1)

I have been trying (for over 3 months now) to do a research on the late Pa S.G. Elton, who is widely considered to be the father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria before featuring him on this platform. However, someone circulated this via What Sapp and I am using it as a platform to start a 3 part series on him. Enjoy the write up below. Your feedback and comments will be highly appreciated. Also feel free to send to  eternity.reminders@gmail.com  any useful article(s) in this regard.  Shalom! LOOKING BACKWARD: In order for us to understand the origin of the prosperity “gospel” and the present reign of mammon in the Church today, we cannot but talk about the man who almost single-handedly established the Pentecostal movement that led to the Pentecostal Churches of Nigeria today. Before then all we had were mostly the “orthodox” Churches with strong controls and hierarchy of the ministers. We did not have the “one-man” Churches of today. ALSO READ JO...
