THE 3 MOST POWERFUL WORDS I have ever heard...

Enter the 3 MOST POWERFUL WORDS I have ever heard...
I heard the word "PROMOTED TO GLORY" recently and I immediately became fascinated by it to the extent that I have made up my mind that I shall give instruction that it should put it on the cover programme of my burial programme Yes, MY BURIAL PROGRAMME! and any publication announcing my passing unto glory (not death, because believers don't 'die', we only change address) . Bros, are you ready to depart? Somebody will ask, and my emphatic answer to that question is NOT YET! But one day, I shall be promoted to glory, (as well as you reading this whether we like it or not). And I am excited at the prospect of being promoted to glory (in eternity with God forever, as I have always been - which is why this blog exists). This has also propelled me to research more about those 3 powerful words.

So back to the topic of today.
"PROMOTED TO GLORY" is a term used by The Salvation Army to describe the death of a Salvationist (a member of Salvation army church). The glory being talked about here is ETERNAL GLORY with God in heaven forever after believers (in Christ) leave this world.

The term was actually coined by Herbert Booth, son of the Founder William Booth, following the death of Catherine Booth, the Mother of the Salvation Army. He wrote the song "Promoted to Glory" which is still used at funerals today. Booth wrote this song while preparing for his mother’s funeral.

One question I asked myself, which I think some of my readers will also ask today is "What gives somebody the assurance that a person has been Promoted to Glory?" As complicated as this may seem to some people, the answer to this is very simple - FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (Eph. 2:5, Rom.10:9, John 10:9, John 3:16).

In the light of the above, I am trusting the Lord that believers will not only have a better appreciation of those three loaded words but also see funeral services as CELEBRATION OF PROMOTION TO GLORY. How interesting would it be when we are handed funeral programme with that title as cover. As I have stated in the opening paragraph, that is how I will instruct mine to be.

And the good news is that ANYONE can have the assurance of that he or she will be "Promoted to Glory" after leaving this world. And this is very simple. Click here (https://goo.gl/iogvk8) to learn more about this.

Beloved, I will be glad to to hear your views/opinion on the 3 most powerful words I have ever heard.

THE SAINTS OF OLD SERIES - PROPHET DR. T.O. OBADARE (BIRTH, CALL & MINISTRY)

Introduction Ogo ni fun Olorun l’oke orun. Mo tun wi leekan si pe ogo ni fun Olorun l’oke orun. E jeki a gbadura (Glory be to God in heaven. And I say once again, glory be to God in heaven. Shall we pray?)[1] This slogan echoed over the Nigerian airwaves, especially in south-western Nigeria, for close to four decades. Each time it echoed, those who were familiar with it easily identified the voice of Apostle (Dr.) Timothy Oluwole Obadare, one of the indigenous prophets of the land, who was the General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) (Worldwide); the Executive Director of World Soul-Winning Evangelistic Ministry (WOSEM) and the President of the Interdenominational Ministers’ Association of Nigeria (IMA). Formerly of The Apostolic Church (TAC), he worked with the church for a period of four years, 1953 to 1957, before he was brought into the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) by Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola in 1957. Having joined the CAC, he ...

THE SAINTS OF OLD (NIGERIAN SERIES): PROPHET DR T. O. OBADARE - HOW HE WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD...

Apostle Timothy Oluwole Obadare went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2013 at the ripe age of 83. According to reports, he had been confined indoors for some years, but was said to have struggled to attend the March edition of the Koseunti Prayer meeting on March 1, 2013. He was brought to the church premises but could not come down from the car. When the news of his death came in, it dawned on the members that perhaps their leader had wanted to attend the meeting for the last time.[47] Apostle Timothy Obadare is survived by his wife, Elizabeth E. A. Obadare, six children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.      Governor Aregbesola being welcome to the burial ceremony by Mama Obadare & 2 sons Personal Qualities Many extolled the virtues of this great Apostle of Christ. Pastor Joseph Adegoroye, a former President of the CAC worldwide, while commenting on the establishment of the Koseunti monthy prayer meeting in 1985, said “Pr...

THE SAINTS OF OLD – PA S.G. ELTON (Part 1)

I have been trying (for over 3 months now) to do a research on the late Pa S.G. Elton, who is widely considered to be the father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria before featuring him on this platform. However, someone circulated this via What Sapp and I am using it as a platform to start a 3 part series on him. Enjoy the write up below. Your feedback and comments will be highly appreciated. Also feel free to send to  eternity.reminders@gmail.com  any useful article(s) in this regard.  Shalom! LOOKING BACKWARD: In order for us to understand the origin of the prosperity “gospel” and the present reign of mammon in the Church today, we cannot but talk about the man who almost single-handedly established the Pentecostal movement that led to the Pentecostal Churches of Nigeria today. Before then all we had were mostly the “orthodox” Churches with strong controls and hierarchy of the ministers. We did not have the “one-man” Churches of today. ALSO READ JO...
