THE ETERNAL CHAMPIONS!

“The scene is a side room in an Austrian hotel on 16 July 2016.
Chelsea's players are coming down from their rooms for a pre-match meal before a friendly against Rapid Vienna, as the Conte reign officially gets under way.

In the past, tables would have been laden with chicken, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, scrambled egg and salad - this time Chelsea's squad set eyes on a selection of seeds, nuts and dried fruit.

Some players, bemused, turn on their heels and leave, assuming they have wandered into the wrong room rather than a new era. They soon return.

Conte, as he has done since day one at Stamford Bridge, outlines in detail and from personal experience why this is happening. He explains how long some food might take to digest, running the risk of players perhaps carrying an extra half a kilo into games.

The message was swiftly embraced as players felt fitter, healthier and better equipped for the season ahead…”

First of all, congratulations to all Blues fans worldwide for emerging the EPL Champions for the 5th time yesterday. Yes, I still have time to pursue my former passion and I will like to relate my write up today with the story of what happened in England yesterday. I am proud to say I have always being a loyal blue (since Celestine Babayaro joined the team in 1997) and have stood with the team through thick and thin, am not a fare-weather fan.

The above story, culled from the BCC website no doubt highlighted the significance of healthy eating habits, which from the story was one of the major factors that contributed significantly to the success of Chelsea Football, being crowned as the new EPL Champions. By the way, for those who like to read, the article also contained many insights that is not only relevant for eternity sake but all-round success for every leader. Another quote sums up this assertion: “If you are managing a company, a newspaper, a shop or a football team, your job is to get the best out of your staff. Conte has done that." You can read more about the article here http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39885837.

Back to the Chelsea/Conte’s success story, just to corroborate the story on healthy eating habits, I also have a testimony to share in this regard, after coming across and reading the book “Halleluyah Diet” 2 years ago. I have always being healthy by His grace but my eating habits has been very poor until when I read the book – my eating habits has improved and this has had significant impact in many areas, particularly in the matters of the “other room”.

WHAT FLIGHT WILL YOU LIKE TO TAKE TO ETERNITY?

The story above has only lead credence to the proverb “It is what a bird eat that it flies with.” And this is very instructive in relation to the matters of eternity. The consumption of ‘junk’ foods like watching ungodly movies, listening to ungodly songs, website visits to ungodly sites, participation in ungodly conversations, etc. will not do our eternal destiny a world of good if we want to become ETERNAL CHAMPIONS. We need to consume on a daily basis scriptures, movies, songs, articles, news, conversations, etc. that will enable us keep our focus FIRMLY on our journey to eternity. Eternity is serious business and it is God’s desire for you and me to become ETERNAL CHAMPIONS and celebrate with Him forever in eternity.
