Re: Top 5 NEW TESTAMENT SAINTS I Want to See FIRST When I Get to Heaven...

Dearly Beloved Saints,

Many thanks for your feedback on the topic "TOP 5 NEW TESTAMENT SAINTS YOU WANT TO SEE FIRST WHEN YOU GET TO HEAVEN". Without any shadow of doubt, it was clear that most saints that responded to this put the Lord Jesus Christ on top of their list. So having left the Lord out of this, others are as follows:

While I encourage you to watch out for part 2 of this series, featuring the Old Testament saints, as many of us out there yet to participate in this very interesting topic are still free to do so. Your choice can still altar the above. Reproduced below is my own top 5 Names of saints I want to see when I get to heaven.

1.     The Thief on the Cross – this story remains one of the most fascinating stories in the bible. Who would have thought that a thief or call him an armed robber could make it to heaven (Luke 23:32-43). It can only be possible with God! I see this as a lesson never to write anyone off as not being worthy to make it. This should be a motivation for every believer to keep sowing the seed of the word because we may not know how God will eventually use it to harvest lost souls into the kingdom. Heaven indeed shall be full of surprises! By the way, I want to ask the thief on the cross what motivated him to make that statement that gave him not only a place in history but most importantly in eternity. Has he heard about Jesus before that day?
2.     Lazarus – Who would not want to see the man that was raised from the dead? Even in the time of Christ, bible recorded that many came not to hear Jesus but to see Lazarus whom he raised from the dead (John 12:9). I am wondering how the press would have captured his story and how his house would have turned to a tourist centre thereafter!  I don’t know about you but am as eager as anything to see this man!

3.     John the Baptist – Why am I curious to see this man? It is simply because of the statement of Jesus Christ in Matt. 11:11 that though he was one of the greatest born, but he will be the least in the kingdom of God.  The question I will ask him is what crime he committed to have been qualified to be given such a LOWLY position FOREVER despite his legendary status as the fore runner of Jesus Christ.
4.     John the Beloved – The one I called the most ‘pampered’ Apostle. I will ask John what he did to deserve so many privileges he ‘enjoyed’ more than every other apostle. Peter was jealous of this privileged position at a point that he had to ask Christ (when he told him three times to "feed the sheep"),  “What will this man do?” Jesus’ answer in John 21:22 was shocking to me! “... If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me". John is indeed a ‘favorite’ of the Lord! I would love to find out if he still enjoys his favorite tag in heaven.

5.     Apostle Paul – The equivalent of today’s Boko Haram leader. Who will not want to see this man? I strongly perceive that he would feature on the least of at least 70% of the saints and I am not an exception. I will ask him what made him to take on the role of the chief persecutor of the saints so wickedly?

BELOVED,  DO YOU AGREE WITH THIS LIST? I WILL BE PLEASED TO KNOW YOUR OWN TOP 5 NAMES (NEW TESTAMENT SAINTS) YOU WANT TO SEE FIRST WHEN YOU GET TO HEAVEN.

Watch Out for Part 2 of this series, focusing on the Old Testament saints, coming shortly…

THE SAINTS OF OLD SERIES - PROPHET DR. T.O. OBADARE (BIRTH, CALL & MINISTRY)

Introduction Ogo ni fun Olorun l’oke orun. Mo tun wi leekan si pe ogo ni fun Olorun l’oke orun. E jeki a gbadura (Glory be to God in heaven. And I say once again, glory be to God in heaven. Shall we pray?)[1] This slogan echoed over the Nigerian airwaves, especially in south-western Nigeria, for close to four decades. Each time it echoed, those who were familiar with it easily identified the voice of Apostle (Dr.) Timothy Oluwole Obadare, one of the indigenous prophets of the land, who was the General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) (Worldwide); the Executive Director of World Soul-Winning Evangelistic Ministry (WOSEM) and the President of the Interdenominational Ministers’ Association of Nigeria (IMA). Formerly of The Apostolic Church (TAC), he worked with the church for a period of four years, 1953 to 1957, before he was brought into the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) by Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola in 1957. Having joined the CAC, he ...

THE SAINTS OF OLD (NIGERIAN SERIES): PROPHET DR T. O. OBADARE - HOW HE WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD...

Apostle Timothy Oluwole Obadare went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2013 at the ripe age of 83. According to reports, he had been confined indoors for some years, but was said to have struggled to attend the March edition of the Koseunti Prayer meeting on March 1, 2013. He was brought to the church premises but could not come down from the car. When the news of his death came in, it dawned on the members that perhaps their leader had wanted to attend the meeting for the last time.[47] Apostle Timothy Obadare is survived by his wife, Elizabeth E. A. Obadare, six children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.      Governor Aregbesola being welcome to the burial ceremony by Mama Obadare & 2 sons Personal Qualities Many extolled the virtues of this great Apostle of Christ. Pastor Joseph Adegoroye, a former President of the CAC worldwide, while commenting on the establishment of the Koseunti monthy prayer meeting in 1985, said “Pr...

THE SAINTS OF OLD – PA S.G. ELTON (Part 1)

I have been trying (for over 3 months now) to do a research on the late Pa S.G. Elton, who is widely considered to be the father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria before featuring him on this platform. However, someone circulated this via What Sapp and I am using it as a platform to start a 3 part series on him. Enjoy the write up below. Your feedback and comments will be highly appreciated. Also feel free to send to  eternity.reminders@gmail.com  any useful article(s) in this regard.  Shalom! LOOKING BACKWARD: In order for us to understand the origin of the prosperity “gospel” and the present reign of mammon in the Church today, we cannot but talk about the man who almost single-handedly established the Pentecostal movement that led to the Pentecostal Churches of Nigeria today. Before then all we had were mostly the “orthodox” Churches with strong controls and hierarchy of the ministers. We did not have the “one-man” Churches of today. ALSO READ JO...
