While I always give extra thanks unto God each time I boarded that – some call it ‘coffin’ - and landed safely, I actually did ‘FASTING and PRAYER’ all through my first flight outside Lagos-Kaduna a decade ago. While I have become bolder since that first experience (l was relaxed all through my first international flight a few years ago), I have a colleague in the office whose morbid fear of travelling by air remain legendary because according to him, there is no hope if anything happen up there, preferring ALWAYS to go on official trip by road (!) except he had no choice at all.
